Program Overview

The Preparación para la Certificación Project Management Professional (PMP)Ž program is designed to provide students with the necessary skills and knowledge to manage projects efficiently. The program focuses on techniques, tools, and practices in project management, preparing students for the Project Management Professional (PMP)Ž certification exam.

The program is intended for professionals, practitioners, or students interested in developing and improving their project management skills, as well as those seeking to obtain the PMPŽ or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)Ž certification.

Duration

The program consists of 96 hours, with 2 sessions per week.

Program Characteristics

The program features a hybrid modality, with synchronous and asynchronous classes. Students will receive a certificate of completion from the University of the Incarnate Word and a constancia de PDU's (Professional Development Units) validated by a PMIŽ Authorized Training Partner (ATP)Ž.

Admission Requirements

The program is designed for professionals, practitioners, or students interested in project management. For the CAPMŽ certification, students must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Tuition Fee

The tuition fee for the program is $1,500 USD.

Program Outcomes

Upon completing the program, students will:

• Have the necessary hours of contact required by PMIŽ for the PMPŽ, CAPMŽ, or PMI-ACPŽ certification
• Understand the theoretical and practical aspects of project management, aligned with the PMBOKŽ Guide
• Be able to analyze, evaluate, plan, and execute a project using best practices in project management
• Understand the importance and strategic value of project management
• Know how to distinguish between different approaches to managing a project (predictive, agile, or hybrid)
• Be familiar with the 3 domains (people, processes, and business environment) and the 49 processes, tools, and techniques associated with them.
