Introduction to Collège Champittet

Collège Champittet is a fully bilingual international pre-school in Switzerland, offering a bespoke curriculum designed for its students. The curriculum focuses on developing formative literacy, numeracy, and social skills through fun activities, hands-on learning, and guided specialist teachers.

Pre-School Curriculum

The pre-school curriculum is designed for children aged 3 to 4 and is based on a blend of Swiss, French, and British curricula. The curriculum nurtures all-round growth through purposeful play, activities, and games, with all students learning in both English and French, taught by native speakers.

Learning Through Play

The pre-school curriculum is packed with exciting, hands-on experiences, including experiential learning, both in and beyond the classroom. Supported by caring teachers and teaching assistants, children develop their motor and movement skills, use their imagination, and take control of their learning. A typical day includes storytelling, reading, simple maths, art and design, as well as socialising, discussion, and reasoning.

Forest School

The Forest School programme enriches the pre-school curriculum, giving children the opportunity to spend several hours each week learning in the great outdoors. Activities include identifying plants and bugs, singing songs, and adding a fun, real-world element to learning.

Academic Excellence

Collège Champittet is committed to academic excellence, with world-class teachers supporting, engaging, and inspiring children. The school's academic excellence is steeped in Swiss traditions and standards, offering an outstanding global education.

A Typical Day

A typical day at Collège Champittet includes awe-inspiring lessons, a variety of clubs and activities, and skill-boosting service opportunities. The day begins with circle time, followed by hands-on artistic activities, Forest School, and a healthy lunch. Afternoon activities include off-campus adventures, such as visits to the farm.

Facilities

The school's international campus is an inspiring place to learn, create, and grow, with pristine environments, specialist facilities, and cutting-edge technology. The campus is ideally located on the shore of Lake Geneva.

The Village

The Village is the latest addition to the campus, designed especially for pupils from pre-school to 2nd grade. This early years centre offers a calm, secure environment that is fully adapted to the needs of young children.

Holiday Clubs

The school offers holiday camps that combine creative workshops, music, dance, and cooking with swimming and fun-filled multisport activities. These camps are free of charge for pre-school students.

Admission

Please note that the admission fee, as well as 8 weeks of Holiday Clubs for preschool, are free of charge.
