Program Overview


Introduction to the Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA)

The Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) at Notre Dame is a STEM-designated degree program designed for new graduates and professionals with less than two years of work experience. This one-year program provides a master's level understanding of business analytics, positioning students to use data to inform complex business decisions.


Program Overview

The MSBA program is a 31-credit hour program that includes a set of courses around tools and technologies and a set of courses around business analytics applications and skills. The program culminates with a hands-on capstone project where students partner with a corporate sponsor on a real-world analytics project.


Concentrations

The MSBA program offers three concentration options:


  • Advanced Analytics: This concentration is for those interested in deepening their analytics knowledge with advanced coursework.
  • Marketing Analytics: This concentration is for those interested in pursuing analytics roles in the marketing industry.
  • Sports Analytics: This concentration is for those interested in pursuing analytics roles in the sports industry.

  • Marketing Analytics concentration: Marketing Analytics, Retail Analytics and Pricing, Digital Transformation Marketing Research
  • Sports Analytics concentration: Sports Analytics, Human Performance Analytics, Applied Artificial Intelligence, Monetizing ML & Deep Learning

Admissions

The admissions process for the MSBA program includes the following requirements:


  • GMAT or GRE scores (waived for students with an undergraduate degree from a U.S. college or university)
  • Transcripts from all colleges and universities attended
  • One recommendation
  • Resume
  • Written statement (500 words or fewer)
  • Applicant Snapshot (a slide presentation showcasing unique qualities and experiences)
  • Video assessment
  • Language proficiency test score (for non-U.S. citizens)
  • $50 application fee

The application deadlines for the MSBA program are:
