Program Overview

Program Overview

The program "Läsförmĺga för alla frĺn fonologisk medvetenhet till flytläsning för förstasprĺksläsare och andrasprĺksläsare" focuses on reading skills for all, covering the process from phonological awareness to fluent reading for both first-language and second-language readers.

Program Description

The course treats all steps in the reading learning and development process, from phonological awareness via different types of decoding to fluent reading. Prospective first-language and second-language readers have different knowledge bases and prerequisites for reading instruction in Swedish, regardless of age. The significant differences constitute important knowledge for planning instruction, and the course covers both first-language and second-language perspectives for different ages, from preschool to high school.
