Kandidatprogram i Meteorologi, Oceanografi och Klimatfysik

The Bachelor's Program in Meteorology, Oceanography, and Climate Physics is a three-year program that provides a broad education in the field, with a primary focus on physics. The program includes courses in mathematics and physics during the first two years, followed by specialized courses in meteorology, oceanography, and climate physics during the third year.

Program Overview

The program is designed to provide students with a solid foundation in the principles of meteorology, oceanography, and climate physics. Students will learn to use mathematical and physical models to describe and analyze the processes that govern the weather and climate. The program also includes courses in atmospheric chemistry, oceanography, and climate systems.

• Year 3:
  • Atmosfärens struktur, MO4005, 15 hp
  • Dynamikens grunder, MO4006, 15 hp
  • Vĺgor och instabiliteter, MO7020, 7,5 hp
  • Klimat och allmänna cirkulationen, MO7021, 7,5 hp
  • Meteorologi, självständigt arbete, MO6003, 15 hp

Admission Requirements

To be eligible for the program, students must meet the following requirements:

• Fysik 2, Kemi 1, Matematik 4 (äldre kurs Matematik D)
• Alternativt: Fysik nivĺ 2, Kemi nivĺ 1, Matematik fortsättning nivĺ 2

Tuition Fees

The program is free for students from the EU, EES, and Switzerland. Students from outside these regions must pay a tuition fee of 70,000 SEK per semester.
