Program Overview


Speciallärarprogrammet Uppdragsutbildning

The Special Teacher Education Program is a commissioned education program provided by the University on behalf of the Swedish National Agency for Education. This program leads to a special teacher's degree and is designed for working teachers.


Program Overview

The program focuses on professional and academic competence to prevent and remove obstacles in learning environments, enabling knowledge development for all children and students with reading and writing difficulties. As a special teacher with specialization in language, writing, and reading development, you will have in-depth knowledge of good conditions for language, writing, and reading development in all children and students.

The program consists of 10 courses, including:


  • Kurs 1: Det specialpedagogiska samhällsuppdraget, UQ1LL1, 7.5hp
  • Kurs 2: Utveckling i och av pedagogiska lärmiljöer, UQ1LL2, 7.5hp
  • Kurs 3: Vetenskapsteori och metod I, UQ1LL3, 7.5hp
  • Kurs 4: Professionella samtal i specialpedagogiska sammanhang UQ1LL4, 7.5hp
  • Kurs 5: Möjligheter och hinder inom sprĺk-, skriv- och läsutveckling, UQ2LS1, 15hp
  • Kurs 6: Bedömning av och för sprĺk-, skriv- och läsutveckling, UQ2LS2, 7.5hp
  • Kurs 7: Pedagogisk utredning och ĺtgärdsprogram, UQ2LS3, 7.5hp

Admission Requirements

To be eligible for the program, you must have a completed teacher's degree, equivalent to 180 ECTS credits, and have completed courses in Swedish corresponding to 22.5 ECTS credits, or have equivalent knowledge.


Tuition Fees

The tuition fee for the program is SEK 67,500 for the first installment, and the total tuition fee for the program is SEK 270,000.
