Introduction to the Theater Arts Program

The Theatre Arts program at Deree delivers a balanced curriculum of performance, dramatic theory and literature, performance history, and technical aspects of the stage. Established in 2002, the program offers students a unique opportunity to explore theatre arts in both theory and practice in state-of-the-art facilities.

Program Overview

Theatre Arts students are exposed to a variety of styles and practices, developing technical skills in performing, directing, designing, and stage managing, as well as critical skills in evaluating performances. The program aims to build the necessary confidence in the chosen discipline, preparing students for a career in theatre and for graduate studies.

Duration of Studies

• The duration of studies is 4 academic years.
• The maximum period of registration for an Open University validated award is ten years.
• Full-time study is defined as 60 UK credits per semester, while part-time study is 40 UK credits per semester or less.

Deree - The American College of Greece is accredited by NECHE, an accreditation that includes ACG's operations in Greece by means of an agreement between AUG and ACG covering all programs currently offered at ACG.
