Introduction

This module addresses the often-challenging transition from strategic planning to actual change. It recognizes that having a clear direction is insufficient; behavioral change within organizations is crucial for successful outcomes. Participants will engage with a comprehensive change framework tailored to connect steering mechanisms, practical applications, and insights into human behavior.

Participant Profile

  • Demographics: Average age is 38 years with a gender distribution of 70% male and 30% female.
  • Experience: Average of 14 years in diverse professional environments.

Program Objectives

Understanding change alone is inadequate; participants will gain the tools to implement change effectively. The module aims to:

  • Develop a coherent change framework.
  • Facilitate deeper insights into individual leadership roles.
  • Transform resistance into momentum.
  • Achieve greater organizational alignment in direction, behavior, and decision-making.

Program Structure

The program consists of five courses structured as a cohesive learning journey, culminating in a practical Live Performance Challenge. Each course will offer new perspectives grounded in the participant's professional practice.

Courses

  1. Management Controls: Focused on guiding behavior through incentives, accountability, and metrics.
  2. Organizational Behavior: Examines motivation, leadership, and cultural dynamics influencing performance.
  3. Leading Change: Explores drivers of behavioral change and conditions necessary for successful organizational change.
  4. Transformational Leadership Trail Austria: A personal leadership exploration focusing on what is important in life and work.
  5. Live Performance Challenge: A real-world application of learned concepts in a client organization facing change hurdles.

Time Commitment

Participants will attend five residential weekends, each lasting three days. The initial phase requires a study load of approximately 1618 hours weekly, decreasing in subsequent weeks due to the experiential format.

Certification

Upon completion, participants will receive a certificate of participation. This certification can contribute toward earning an Executive MBA degree if they complete all four EMBA tracks and a capstone project.

Faculty

The program features distinguished faculty, including:

  • Roemer Visser: Associate Professor, specializing in performance improvement.
  • Frieda van Belle: Independent management consultant, focusing on technology-driven growth.
  • Woody van Olffen: Professor with a research focus on organizational dynamics.
  • Eddy Cardinaels: Professor integrating psychology and behavioral economics into decision-making insights.
