Course Focus

As science and technology continue to advance globally, the demand for a universal language to facilitate communication becomes increasingly critical. Engineering professionals may possess the necessary technical skills but often find their career prospects hindered by a lack of English communication proficiency. This course is designed for civil, mechanical, and electrical engineers, as well as engineering technicians and technical managers, who wish to enhance and professionalize their level of English in alignment with their respective fields.

Course Content

The course encompasses a broad spectrum of technical terminology pertinent to various engineering disciplines and provides practical applications of this language in everyday work scenarios. Participants will enhance their reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills through:

• Interpreting and presenting diagrams, drawings, sketches, and plans.
• Reviewing case studies, procedures, functions, applications, materials, tests, and experiments.
• Describing and addressing technical problems and faults.
• Proposing ideas and alternatives.
• Developing solutions.

All activities are conducted in a classroom environment designed to emulate different work scenarios that students may encounter, making this course an ideal complement to their jobs or studies.

Upon completing a needs analysis questionnaire, a tailored course program will be devised to meet the specific needs of the students.
