The Lean Yellow & Green Belt Training Program equips professionals with the practical skills and tools necessary to lead continuous improvement initiatives across a range of sectors, including manufacturing, healthcare, government, education, and service organizations.

Participants begin with a foundational understanding of Lean principles, process mapping, workplace organization, waste reduction, and problem-solving through the Lean Yellow Belt course. Accreditation

Professional Certification

Completion of the University of Winnipeg Lean Yellow & Green Belt Training Program prepares participants for professional Lean Belt certification; however, it does not confer Yellow or Green Belt certification directly. Professional certification is obtained separately through an independent certifying body upon successful completion of required training, examination, and applied practice.

To achieve Yellow Belt certification, participants must:

• Successfully complete Lean Yellow Belt training
• Attain a minimum score of 70% on the certification examination
• Participate in a Continuous Improvement Event

Certification fee: $450 (payable directly to the certifying body, not included in tuition)

Green Belt Certification Requirements

To obtain Green Belt certification, participants must:

• Successfully complete Lean Green Belt training
• Achieve a minimum score of 70% on the certification examination
• Complete a DMAIC project or Continuous Improvement Event

Certification fee: $550 (payable directly to the certifying body, not included in tuition)
