Technical & Professional Communication

Overview

The Technical and Professional Communication program at Glendon focuses on equipping individuals with the skills to convey scientific and technical information in an accessible manner. This entails the preparation of various documents such as scientific and technical reports, operating manuals, catalogues, assembly instructions, promotional materials, and project proposals. Additionally, the program emphasizes planning and editing technical documents, overseeing the preparation of visual aids, and interpreting complex data for general audiences.

Who Can Take It?

This certificate program is open to the following applicants:

• Current York students.
• New applicants to York who hold a university degree in a related discipline.
• New applicants to York who possess recent work experience in an administrative or technical field requiring writing skills.

Application Process

• Current York students should contact the Technical & Professional Communication program within the School of Translation for admissibility requirements and application procedures.
• New applicants who meet the educational or experiential criteria must ensure they satisfy the minimum requirements for admission to the University and then inquire about the Technical & Professional Communication program.

Scholarships
