Master of Design (MDes)

The Master of Design (MDes) program is a full-time, two-year, practice-based program that addresses contemporary visual communication design challenges through academic inquiry and research. The program is designed to equip students with the essential tools and confidence to navigate the dynamic landscape of technology, media, aesthetics, and information. Graduates are prepared for various careers as practicing designers, design researchers, and educators, fostering engagement in critical practice, theory, and methodology.

Master of Arts in Design Research (MA in Design Research)

The Master of Arts in Design Research is tailored for designers aiming to energize their practice. This program features a three-semester applied approach, allowing students to seamlessly integrate what they learn into their professional environments. The curriculum aligns with the first year of the MDes program and culminates in a one-semester Major Research Project or Major Research Paper, completed under the guidance of a supervisor. This structure replaces the traditional 12-month thesis format.
