Program Overview

The International Foundation Year is a three-term programme of academic subjects, study skills and English language training designed to help international students succeed in a UK classroom environment and meet the entry requirements for undergraduate study. Once you successfully complete the programme and achieve the required grades, you can enter the first year of your chosen undergraduate degree at the University.

Program Outline

ASSESSMENT AND COURSEWORK : You will be assessed through examinations and coursework, which could take the form of a presentation or extended essay. PROGRESSION CRITERIA : You will need to achieve an overall average grade of 65 - 70 per cent or above to progress from the International Study Centre. Some degree subjects may also require an interview with academic tutors at the University. We will support you throughout your International Foundation Year to make sure you achieve your best and progress successfully to your studies at Surrey.
