About University

UMass Boston (The University of Massachusetts Boston) dates back to 1863 when the Massachusetts Agricultural College was founded. Just over 100 years later the University of Masschusetts Boston was established and classes started in September 1965. Today it hosts over 15,000 students a year including more than 2,000 international students from 150 countries around the world. </span></span> </span></span>

It has been ranked the 3rd best public university in Massachusetts and in the top 250 universities in the USA by US News & World Report. Employability

UMass Boston offers Careers Services to all students, including its Make a Plan timeline for career planning and appointments with careers advisors.
