BA (Hons) Ceramics & Glass

Overview

The BA (Hons) Ceramics & Glass degree course at the University for the Creative Arts (UCA) is designed to help students develop their passion for designing and making ceramics and glass. The course is forward-thinking and dynamic in its approach to materials, while also being built on a strong tradition of craft practice.


Course Structure

  • BA (Hons) Ceramics & Glass (3 years full-time)
  • BA (Hons) Ceramics & Glass with Integrated Foundation Year (4 years full-time)
  • BA (Hons) Ceramics & Glass with Professional Practice Year (4 years full-time)
  • BA (Hons) Ceramics & Glass with Integrated Foundation Year and Professional Practice Year (5 years full-time)

Entry Requirements

The standard entry requirements for the course are:


  • 112 UCAS tariff points
  • Pass at Foundation Diploma in Art & Design (Level 3 or 4)
  • Distinction, Merit, Merit at BTEC Extended Diploma / BTEC National Extended Diploma
  • Merit at UAL Extended Diploma
  • 112 UCAS tariff points from an accredited Access to Higher Education Diploma in an appropriate subject
  • 27-30 total points in the International Baccalaureate Diploma with at least 15 IB points at Higher level
  • Four GCSE passes at grade 9-4/A*-C including English (or Functional Skills English/Key Skills Communication Level 2)
