About Program

Program Overview


This course will teach you a systematic approach to decision-making in investment management. You’ll learn from experienced industry professionals and academics, while developing the skills you need to succeed in investment management or investment analysis roles within the finance industry.

You’ll learn how to use market-leading tools such as Bloomberg, with Bloomberg Market Concepts certification embedded in our course. Our course is affiliated with the CFA Institute and you can apply for a scholarship to sit the Chartered Financial Analyst exam during your studies. In addition, we offer the Schweser CFA Essential Study Package free of charge to all scholarship holders.

Program Outline

Academic year structure

The taught modules, Cases in International Finance and Ethics in Finance are taught from June to July. You'll work on your International Finance Project from August to September.

The University operates a credit framework for all taught programmes based on a 15-credit tariff. Modules can be either 15, 30, 45, 75 and 120 credits, and additionally for some masters dissertations, 90 credits.

    Timetable

    New students will receive their personalised timetable in Welcome Week, and in subsequent semesters, two weeks prior to the start of semester. Please note that while we make every effort to ensure that timetables are as student-friendly as possible, scheduled teaching can take place on any day of the week (Monday - Friday). Wednesday afternoons are normally reserved for sports and cultural activities.
