Introduction to the Children's Literature, Media & Cultural Entrepreneurship Programme
The Children's Literature, Media & Cultural Entrepreneurship programme is a unique, two-year degree that provides an interdisciplinary study of the interaction between children, texts, and media. This programme offers the opportunity to study and live in at least two European countries, engaging with an array of cultural events related to children's literature and media, and participating in a placement with a practitioner organisation.

Programme Structure
The programme is structured around a series of mobility periods across two years, where students study at the programme universities for one semester. The periods of mobility are designed to enable students to engage with a variety of perspectives on the three core themes of the programme and promote valuable knowledge and practical skills-based outcomes that will feed into future career opportunities.
- Year 1: Students undertake a series of core courses which reflect the main themes of the programme and methods of enquiry delivered in Glasgow in semester 1 and Aarhus in semester 2.
- Year 2: Students choose a specialist pathway in Tilburg, Nantes, or Wrocaw and complete a work-based learning placement.
- Final Mobility Period: Can be spent with one of the five consortium partners, depending on the chosen topic of dissertation.
- Optional Summer School: At the University of British Columbia (UBC) in Vancouver or at the Johannes Gutenberg Universit舩 Mainz & Goethe Universit舩 Frankfurt-am-Main (Germany) at the end of year 1.
Career Prospects
Graduates will develop key skills sought by many employers, including the ability to find, select, and analyse texts and empirical data; confident and persuasive oral and written communication skills; and problem-solving through creative and critical thinking. The programme provides excellent preparation for careers in media, education and literacy, publishing, archive and information studies, heritage and creative industries, as well as a springboard for PhD study and an academic career.
