  • Confirmed teaching-related workload of at least 30 hours for the first year of the program.
  • This equates to 10% of the notional learning hours for the "Introduction to Learning and Teaching in Higher Education" course.
  • Typical academic contracts have 2-400 hours of teaching-related workload per year, with individual workloads varying.
  • Teaching-related workload should include student contact hours (online or in person) and assessment responsibilities.
  • It should also include some degree of curriculum design responsibilities.
  • Student contact hours should be at least one-third of the minimum teaching-related workload (approximately 10 hours).
  • Online teaching hours will be calculated based on notional learning hours to approximate contact time.
