Program Overview
Global Markets, Local Creativities (Erasmus Mundus International Master)
The International Master in Global Markets, Local Creativities is an integrated, international programme comprising the history, theory, institutions, and cultures of global capitalism. It provides perspectives on the globalised economy, focusing on creative and cultural economies/industries, urban ecosystems that foster entrepreneurship, creativity, innovation, and business cultures.
Programme Structure
This is a two-year degree taught through a mix of lectures and seminars. Students will take between eight and ten core and around eight optional courses, depending on which pathway they choose. The programme also includes opportunities for internships and industrial placements.

The intertwining of academic analysis and practical engagement will provide a valuable range of well-rounded skills and experiences that develop active and informed graduates capable of operating at strategic levels in NGO and third-sector agencies, local economic development organisations, policy analysis and lobbying groups, and corporations, or of undertaking further study.
Fees & Funding
Tuition Fees for IntM
- Full-time fee for UK/EU and non-EU programme countries: Ł9,654 per annum or 11,360 per annum
- Full-time fee for all other countries: Ł20,700 per annum or 24,360 per annum
Deposit
All applicants are required to pay a deposit of Ł2,000 when an offer is made.
Additional Fees
- Fee for re-assessment of a dissertation (PGT programme): Ł370
- Submission of thesis after deadline lapsed: Ł350
- Registration/exam only fee: Ł170
Funding Opportunities
- Banco de Mexico: Provides special loans for students who wish to undertake a programme of postgraduate study.
- CONACyT (Consejo Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnologia) / FUNED Agreement: Offers a non-refundable scholarship, a monthly stipend, and medical insurance.
- ANID (la Agencia Nacional de Investigación y Desarrollo): Offers a 25% discount to all successful ANID scholars.
Entry Requirements
A strict 2:1 UK Honours degree or international equivalent in Anthropology, Business, Economics, Global Business Marketing, Global Governance, Global Studies, History, International Business, International Relations/Studies, Liberal Arts, Literature, Philosophy, Political Sciences, Psychology, Regional History, Sociology, Social Policy, Sustainability, Trade, and Urban Policy/Studies.
English Language Requirements
For applicants from non-English speaking countries, as defined by the UK Government, the University sets a minimum English Language proficiency level.
