Human Rights and Global Ethics MA

Course Description

The Human Rights and Global Ethics MA addresses the challenge of human rights on both a conceptual and practical level.

• The degree encourages students to appraise international politics from the perspective of global ethics.
• Students will gain a thorough grounding in key concepts and theories of human rights and global ethics.
• The course develops knowledge of different theoretical and policy perspectives on ethical issues.
• Students will study the global political context of pressing ethical issues, including state behavior and relations between states and non-state actors.

Entry Requirements

• A 2:1 degree or equivalent in Politics, History, International Relations, or related subjects.
• Equivalent relevant professional experience may be considered.
• English language requirements: IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.

Fees and Funding

• UK students: Ł9,800 (MA, starting in September 2026).
• International students: Ł19,400 (MA, starting in September 2026).
• A deposit is required to secure a place, which will be subtracted from the total tuition fee.

Course Structure
