Professional Development

This course is designed to integrate academic learning with real-world business experience through a 3-month internship. You will develop practical skills, understand workplace dynamics, and learn to communicate your experiences professionally. The course emphasises reflective practice, professional reporting, and personal and career development.

Agile Methodology

Agile constitutes a set of principles and practices designed to assist teams in producing better products, faster. It places emphasis on communication, collaboration, and accountability within software development. In our workshops, you will be taught how to apply Agile principles to any business organisation. You will learn to build effective cross-functional teams, prioritise work effectively, and manage projects without losing sight of what matters most: results!

Upon successful completion of this course, students will receive the Certification ICP – MKG from ICAgile.

Capstone Project & Elective Modules

With the Capstone Project, you’re not just learning how to solve problems and think critically. You’re also learning how to apply those skills in real-world settings. The capstone project is a multi-faceted assignment that replaces the Master’s thesis and serves as a culminating academic and intellectual experience. As part of your assessment, you will be encouraged to think critically, solve challenging problems, and develop skills to prepare you for contemporary business.

With elective modules, you can choose from over 40 courses that will help you learn new skills—whether that’s in a field related to your specialisation or not. You’ll have the flexibility to tailor your education to what’s most relevant for your career.

Impact Labs

The Impact Lab modules empower you with practical skills essential for your professional journey. Through hands-on experiences, workshops and seminars, you will enhance expression, writing, design, creativity, and technological proficiency, including AI tools. Learning walks and field visits offer direct interaction with Sport industry professionals, providing insights into practices and trends. This approach not only deepens understanding but also fosters career skills like navigating professional environments and building connections, ensuring you are well-prepared for their chosen fields.

Sustainability and Social Impact

The Sustainability and Social Impact Module will inspire you to lead organisations in making a lasting social and environmental impact on a global scale. Through a project-based approach and field visits, you will learn how to lead sustainability projects and connect with organisations and leaders in Barcelona committed to CSR programs.

In these workshops, you have the opportunity to apply their knowledge through project-based learning, collaborating on initiatives with ESEI and other organisations such as Tree Nation and BCorp to promote more sustainable businesses.

Career Coaching

Our Career Coaching sessions prepare you for your next career progression in the world of Sports. With the guidance of our coaches, you will refine your personal brand to distinguish yourself in the competitive job market. Additionally, you will receive advice on addressing common career hurdles and crafting a personal roadmap to elevate your career to the next level.

Thesis Final Project

The thesis final project serves as a culmination of learned skills and an opportunity to explore an area relevant to future careers in Sports. It emphasises critical thinking, negotiation, planning, implementation, social skills, presentation skills, finance and budgeting, creativity, research, and data analysis.

You can choose from options including an academic research paper contributing to the literature, a business plan aimed at attracting investment, or a marketing plan. The project must demonstrate understanding of current issues faced by the company and industry, emerging trends, technology’s impact, and competitor behaviour.

The project must be between 6,000 to 10,000 words.

What is the duration of the programme?

The duration of the programme depends on your choice of degree:

• For the Master’s programme (either private or with the College de Paris accreditation), the duration is 1 year.
• For the MBA in Sports Management, the duration is 1-1.5 years for the private degree or 1.5-2 years if you choose the College de Paris accreditation.

You can begin the programme in either the Fall or Spring semester.

What is the Master class schedule?

Our Master is run on weekdays in the evenings from 6pm to 9pm. You will have classes 2-3 times per week, which allows you to work and study at the same time.

Additionally, if you are a non-EU student who requires a student visa to study in Spain, our Sports Management programme meets the student visa requirements of full time study in Spain.

What is ESEI’s attendance policy?

Students must attend at least 5 out of 7 sessions for each module. They cannot miss more than 2 classes for any reason. Absence will only be justified for observance of religious holidays. All Medical appointments, family commitments, etc. Must fall within the allowed absence.

How are my module grades calculated?

Each module within our Sports Management programme has 4 assessment components: a group submission (40%), an individual submission (20%) and a formal oral presentation (20%) for your module project, as well as a participation grade (20%) based on your participation during classes.

Are there any additional trips, visits or events included in the programme?

Yes! The programme includes a range of additional activities such as guest speaker sessions, field visits, and opportunities to collaborate with real businesses on course projects.

Within your classes, you will have guest speakers from your discipline, and some of your projects will be developed in collaboration with actual businesses. Throughout the year, ESEI also organises guest speaker sessions, some specifically focused on Sports Management, providing you with valuable insights and industry knowledge.

In addition, there are visits to local and international companies, offering you a glimpse into the Barcelona business landscape and beyond. Past field visits have included:

• MediaPro, a global leader in sports media and audiovisual production.
• Real Madrid, one of the most successful football clubs in history.
• Barcelona Football Club, known for its pioneering approach to sports management.
• Montjuïc Olympic Stadium, an iconic venue from the 1992 Barcelona Olympics.

Are internships included in the programme?

Yes, if you enrol in the College de Paris accreditation, you will have a mandatory 3-month internship to complete. However, if you choose our private ESEI Degree, there is no mandatory internship requirement, but you are welcome to work in an internship while studying at ESEI.

Is the programme accredited?

The programme offers two degree options:

• ESEI Private Degree: This degree is awarded directly by ESEI International Business School, which has over 30 years of experience in postgraduate education. ESEI is accredited by the Generalitat de Catalunya to teach international business programmes to both local and international students. The ESEI Private Degree offers a flexible curriculum tailored to meet the current demands of the business community.
• French Official Degree from College de Paris: This is an internationally recognised official degree with ECTS credits, making it ideal for those seeking global career opportunities or planning further studies in Europe. The College de Paris degree offers a structured and comprehensive curriculum aligned with global business and sports management standards.

Both degree options provide high-quality education, enabling you to choose the path that best aligns with your goals—whether it’s the flexibility of the ESEI Private Degree or the international recognition of the College de Paris accreditation.

What kind of degree will I receive?

If you choose the College de Paris accreditation, you will receive an official French degree titled MS in Sports Management. Alternatively, if you opt for the ESEI Degree, you will be awarded a private Master’s degree from ESEI International Business School.

How long does it take to receive my diploma(s) after completing the programme?

You'll be presented with your Sports Management ESEI diploma at our graduation ceremony, which typically takes place in July. If you need proof of your degree completion for work or other reasons, we can provide a signed letter to use as proof until you receive your actual diploma.

What is the official certification I will receive upon completion of the programme?

• UCAM Upon successful completion of the programme and fulfillment of the necessary credit requirements, students will receive the Master’s Degree in Continuing Education in Digital Marketing or Master’s Degree in International MBA in Digital Marketing certification, awarded directly by UCAM - Universidad Católica San Antonio de Murcia.
• Collège de Paris MS & MBA International Programmes Upon successful completion of the programme and fulfillment of the necessary credit requirements, students will receive the Operational Activities Manager (Level 7) certification, awarded directly by Collège de Paris and accredited by France Compétences.
