Course Overview

The BSc (Hons) Environmental Science degree at Bangor University is designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and expertise to evaluate and implement solutions to environmental problems. The program covers a broad range of topics, including earth systems, ecosystems, environmental chemistry, and conservation biology.

Course Structure

The course is structured over three years, with a combination of compulsory and optional modules. In the first year, students take modules in earth systems, ecosystems, environmental chemistry, and practical and field skills. In the second year, students take modules in catchment processes, water, air, and soil pollution, and field courses in environmental conflicts. In the third year, students take modules in environmental geochemistry, global challenges, and dissertation research.
