Program Overview
Do we get the press we deserve? On our Journalism in British Life short course, we will examine the relationship between changes in the press alongside wider political, social and economic changes in society. We will also explore contemporary debates about press reform, the power of the press and the effects of media ownership on what we read.
Assessment is via a 1200-word writing exercise (20%), 1500-word essay (30%) and 2500-word essay (50%).
This can be taken as a standalone short course or as a part of:
