Course Overview
The PhD English Literature program at the University of Buckingham offers students the opportunity to work closely with a writer or topic within a supportive research environment. The program is designed to help students develop a systematic and in-depth understanding of the subject area, critical skills necessary to analyze and evaluate complex literary problems, and the research skills necessary to demonstrate familiarity with and understanding of the subject.
Entry Requirements
Applicants are normally expected to have a first or second-class, upper-division degree, and an MA, and/or significant experience. Mature students are welcome to apply, and international students are encouraged to visit the university's international pages for details of entry requirements from their home country.
