About Program

Program Overview

This module aims to enable you to develop management skills and knowledge by providing the opportunity to explore, critically, concepts, principles, skills, attitudes and behaviours associated with managing effectively in health and social care settings. You will also have the opportunity to apply a range of concepts within your own practice setting.

You will need to complete an induction prior to commencement of your first module. We have a comprehensive online induction package to welcome you to both the University and your programme of study. Alternatively classroom-based induction days take place at our Lancaster and Carlisle campuses and are usually scheduled for the first week of each semester.

The running of this module is dependent on there being sufficient numbers of interest.

Graduate destinations

This module can be taken on a stand-alone basis or as a module within the UAD or BSc (Hons) Management and Leadership in Health and Social Care. The module can also be taken as part of our BSc (Hons) Practice Development award.
