Program Overview

Course Overview

The course will enable participants to understand how human behaviours and the factors that affect this, contribute to project performance. The course will empower participants to engage, act and do something earlier rather than later to create a positive impact on project performance.

Using a range of group-based exercises, participants will explore and apply “Drift and Accumulation” theory in a project setting, and build an awareness of behavioural factors that can affect team and project success.

Delivered over two days, this course can be accessed online or in-person and is available to all professionals working in a project or programme environment.

On this course you will...

  • Understand the concept of ‘normalisation of deviance’, how a drift from human performance standards occurs and the effect this has on both project performance and the individual
  • Identify when to act and how quickly to act within a circle of influence to increase project performance
  • Understand their role in enabling a positive human behaviours culture that leads to a highly motivated and high performing team
  • Recognise a ‘toolkit’ of support available in the workplace, and explore real life examples of when these interventions have worked
