Finance and Accounting BSc (Hons)
The Brunel Finance and Accounting BSc equips students with the knowledge, skills, and insights needed to successfully pursue careers in accountancy and other roles across the financial sector. This ACCA, CIMA, and ICAEW accredited degree provides a solid grounding in the theories and practices of finance and accounting and a clear understanding of the regulatory and social frameworks in which these disciplines operate.

Overview
In the first two years, students explore core subjects such as financial markets, financial accounting and reporting, management accounting, and corporate finance and investment. They also study econometrics, develop sought-after skills in data modeling, and receive training in analytical packages widely used by business and financial institutions.
Course Content
The course is designed to give students an in-depth understanding of the principles of finance and expertise in core accountancy practices. Studies include a combination of compulsory and optional modules. In the final year, students have the opportunity to choose between completing a dissertation or taking additional modules instead.

The aim is to teach "employable knowledge" that can be applied to real-world situations, giving students the skills needed to find the right role after graduation. Graduates are employed in many fields, with roles at NatWest, PricewaterhouseCoopers, KPMG, the Treasury, and the Bank of England.

Teaching and Learning
Modules are assessed by combinations of coursework and examinations. The final year dissertation is worth a third of Level 3 marks.
Assessment and Feedback
The proportion of exam to coursework is approximately 75% to 25%. Level 1 does not count towards the final degree mark. Level 2 is worth a third, and Level 3 is worth the rest.
