Course Overview

You explore these key principles and language of the subject and follow the process from interpreting the brief to communicating creative ideas. No previous knowledge is assumed and you are encouraged to explore a range of ideas, processes and methods while completing a negotiated project.

What You Study

• Key principles and contexts of graphic design and illustration
• Create visual communications and communicate them using a variety of media processes and methods
• Originate and present imaginative designs in your own subject area
• The creative process and concept development
• Creatively explore the use of text and image

How You Are Assessed

You are assessed through a portfolio of creative work (100%).

Entry Requirements

• Access to the following programs:
  • Adobe InDesign
  • Adobe Photoshop
  • Adobe Illustrator
• When you enrol on this course you can access Adobe Suite through your student account for the duration of your course.
• International applicants must have an IELTS overall score of 5.5 or higher.
• Age restriction: Due to the content and delivery of our Summer University courses, it is advised that applicants are aged 16+ at the time of enrolment. If you are applying for an online course and are under the age of 18 at the time of enrolment, you must provide a completed parental consent form.

• Start date: Starts Tuesday 3 June, Tuesday and Thursdays for 4 weeks, 6.00pm-9.00pm
