Program Overview

The Animal Science and Welfare BSc (Hons) program at Teesside University equips students with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills in animal health, physiology, behavior, and welfare. The program prepares graduates for diverse careers in animal science, including industrial, commercial, governmental, and environmental settings, as well as further academic pursuits in postgraduate research. Students benefit from a combination of lectures, tutorials, laboratory work, and research projects, and have the option to gain industry experience through a year-long work placement.
