Course Overview

Engineering Principles SU (Online) is a 10-credit, level 4 course that explores a range of topics in electrical/electronic technology, chemical science, and mechanical principles. The course is designed to help students develop basic engineering knowledge and problem-solving skills, preparing them for study on a University engineering degree.

How You Are Assessed

You are assessed by a 1.5 hour online test in the final week.


Entry Requirements

  • You require grade C / 4 in GCSE mathematics, or equivalent, before enrolling on this course.
  • International applicants must have an IELTS overall score of 5.5 or higher.
  • Due to the content and delivery of our Summer University courses, it is advised that applicants are aged 16+ at the time of enrolment. If you are applying for an online course and are under the age of 18 at the time of enrolment, you must provide a completed parental consent form.

Part-time Entry
