Introduction to Concept Art (Online)

Overview

This course helps you explore your creative skills and learn how to take your initial idea and develop it into final images suitable for presentation.

What You Study

  • Drawing applied in the context of the concept artist
  • Imaginative drawing
  • Traditional and/or digital drawing
  • Incorporating visual research into drawing

Assessment

  • Assessment is through your portfolio of artwork.
  • You receive a tailored brief which defines the expectations of the assessment.

Entry Requirements

  • You require access to either traditional drawing materials and the ability to photograph or photocopy, or digital drawing equipment and software.
  • As this is an online course, you need access to a computer and be comfortable learning through an online platform.
  • A strong and stable internet connection is required, and a webcam and microphone to participate in any interactive elements of the course.
  • International applicants must have an IELTS overall score of 5.5 or higher.
  • Due to the content and delivery of our Summer University courses, it is advised that applicants are aged 16+ at the time of enrolment.
  • If you are applying for an online course and are under the age of 18 at the time of enrolment, you must provide a completed parental consent form.
