Animal Biology and Wildlife Conservation (top-up) BA (Hons)
This is a top-up degree course for students who have completed the HND Applied Animal Science or equivalent award. On this program, students have access to well-equipped laboratories and an animal centre. They will have as much practical involvement with animals as possible, and a number of trips and activities are organized each year.

Teaching and Assessment
Assessment is by coursework projects, essays, presentations, and examinations. Delivery is through lectures, seminars, and tutorials, normally over three days a week.
Entry Requirements
- UK:
- You will need at least a Merit grade at HND in Applied Animal Science or other relevant discipline or a Foundation Degree with a value of 240 credits.
- International:
- International students cannot be admitted to this program at this time due to visa restrictions.
- English Language Requirements:
- This course requires a Good level of English language, equivalent to B2 on CEFR.
- Examples:
- IELTS 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in each component
- GCSE Grade 4/C or above in English Language
- IB Standard Level Grade 5 or above in English A: Language and Literature
- A Level Grade C or above in English Language or English Literature.
Fees and Funding

Additional Costs
There will be an additional cost for any trips. Students will require regular access to a desktop computer/laptop with an internet connection to use the University of Kent’s online resources and systems.
