Introduction to Biomedical Engineering

Biomedical Engineering at Kent educates engineers who can develop systems used in medical practice and biology research. This cross-disciplinary programme is designed for students with an equally strong interest in engineering and biology/medicine.

Teaching and Assessment

Teaching includes lectures, tutorial lectures, examples classes, small group supervisions, project work, laboratory experiments, and computer-based assignments. Assessment methods include written unseen examinations and assessed coursework.

Entry Requirements

• Typical offer: 104-120 UCAS points
• A level: BBB including B in Mathematics plus one other STEM subject
• BTEC Nationals: DMM in an Engineering subject
• International Baccalaureate: 120 tariff points
• English Language Requirements: Good level of English language, equivalent to B2 on CEFR
