Overview of the MPhys Physics Program

The MPhys Physics program at the University of Kent is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of physics, from the smallest sub-atomic particles to the large-scale structure of the universe. The program is a four-year integrated Master's degree that allows students to hone their skills in research and technical roles in industry or as preparation for a PhD.

The program is divided into four stages, each with a combination of compulsory and optional modules.

Entry Requirements

• Typical offer: 112-128 UCAS points
• A level: ABB, including A level Mathematics at B
• BTEC Nationals: The University will consider applicants holding/studying BTEC Extended National Diploma Qualifications (QCF; NQF;OCR) in Engineering
• International Baccalaureate: 128 tariff points - typically H5, H6, H6 at HL including HL Maths/Maths Method or HL Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches at 5 or SL Maths/Maths Methods at 6
