Professional Practice (Teaching and Learning) MSc
The Professional Practice (Teaching and Learning) MSc is a part-time, work-based program designed for qualified teachers who want to develop and enhance their working practice at Master's level. Entry Requirements
Applicants are normally required to have a minimum of two years’ professional experience and hold an undergraduate degree, in addition to a teaching qualification. International students must meet the English language entry requirements, which include a Good level of English language, equivalent to B2 on CEFR.
Course Structure
The program consists of three stages:
- Stage 1 - Year 1 (PG Certificate): Students take the following core modules:
- WL813 - Evidence-Based Practice (30 credits)
- WL880 - The Role of Schooling: A Thinking Approach (30 credits)
- Stage 2 - Year 2 (PG Diploma): Students take the following core modules:
- WL882 - Research Skills (30 credits)
- WL881 - Addressing Barriers to Learning (30 credits)
- Stage 3 - Year 3 (MSc): Students take the following core module:
- WL816 - Work-related Project and Dissertation (60 credits)
