MSc Digital Marketing
The MSc Digital Marketing degree at Robert Gordon University is a highly practical course that equips students with the theoretical knowledge and skills to design, deliver, and evaluate successful digital marketing strategies and campaigns.

Stage 1
In Stage 1, students learn and produce a range of media focused on a digital marketing context, including web design, audio/video recording and editing, and graphics processing. They analyze, evaluate, and critically appraise digital marketing concepts and develop campaign strategies for real-life business scenarios.
Stage 2
In Stage 2, students explore the importance of social media in the digital marketing sphere and gain firsthand understanding of how to approach it in a strategic context. They learn about digital marketing analytics tools and applications and work in teams to showcase knowledge and skills.
Stage 3
In Stage 3, the Project/Dissertation can take the form of a practical project, such as an analysis of a real business problem, as an alternative to the traditional academic dissertation of 15,000 words. Students work independently but under tutorial supervision to undertake the research and prepare the project/dissertation.

The university aims to provide feedback within 20 working days of hand-in for all written exams, coursework, and practical exams.
Independent Study
The course requires students to become independent 'open learners' and take responsibility for when, where, and how their learning occurs. Students spend approximately 15-20 hours per week working on their own, undertaking prescribed reading, preparing for group activities, and researching and writing course reports.

Entry Requirements
Applicants normally hold a 2:2 undergraduate honors degree or its equivalent in any subject area. Applicants with a lower degree classification and/or relevant work experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
English Language Requirements
Applicants whose first language is not English should have an IELTS of 6.0 overall, with no component lower than 5.5, or an equivalent.

Program Outline
Stage 1

You will work in teams to design strategic campaigns that showcase your knowledge and skills. You will begin to explore a wide range of research methods for your Project/Dissertation.
Stage 3

You will work independently but under tutorial supervision, to undertake the research and prepare the project/dissertation.
