Program Overview


Human Resource Management Course

The Human Resource Management course is a postgraduate program that prepares students for the management of people and human resources in a global context. This CIPD (Level 7) accredited course will provide students with the relevant knowledge and skills to become effective line managers or HR professionals.


Course Overview

The course is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of human resource management, including organizational behavior, equality, diversity, and inclusion. Students will learn how to gather and apply evidence to HR management issues and develop the skills necessary to become an effective HR professional.


Course Structure

The course is divided into three stages:


  1. Stage 1: Students will develop a grounding in the core areas of organizational behavior and personal, professional, and academic skills.
  2. Stage 2: Students will learn how to gather evidence and apply it to HR management decision-making.
  3. Stage 3: The Capstone module is designed to provide students with an opportunity to integrate master's level knowledge and skills by independently working on a research-focused project.

Extended Master's Route

The course offers an extended Master's route, which includes a 12-month placement. This route provides students with the opportunity to gain practical experience and apply their knowledge and skills in a real-world setting.


Teaching and Assessment

Students will learn through a combination of lectures, seminars, and workshop sessions. Assessments will include written assignments, essays, reports, and a Capstone project.


Entry Requirements

  • Applicants normally hold a 2:2 undergraduate honors degree or its equivalent in any subject discipline.
  • Applicants with a lower degree classification and/or relevant work experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
  • English language requirements: IELTS 6.5 overall, with no component lower than 5.5.
