The Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme at Robert Gordon University is designed to develop advanced leadership skills and provide an in-depth understanding of the functional components of management, strategic management, and specialist areas of study relating to career aspirations.

The MBA programme is student-centric, focusing on career development, and blends academia with practical applications to build confidence and competency through personal experiences. Students will develop skills across a range of business functions, including strategy, accounting, economics, operations management, people management, commercialisation, business development, and marketing.

Modes of Study

The programme is offered in various modes of study:

• Online Learning: Students learn via the online virtual learning environment, CampusMoodle, which provides access to lectures, course materials, and a supportive online community.
• Full Time: 12 months
• Part Time: 24 months (September start) or 28 months (January start)

Course Structure

The programme includes:

• MBA Leadership Week: A week-long event featuring a Business Simulation Exercise, academic and practical workshops, an outdoor leadership development day, and guest speakers from academia and industry.
• Consultancy Project: Students act as consultants for a business, applying knowledge and skills in a practical context to address real challenges.

Entry Requirements

Applicants must normally hold a 2:2 undergraduate honours degree or its equivalent in any subject discipline. Those with a lower degree classification and/or relevant work experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis. English language requirements apply for applicants whose first language is not English.

Fees and Funding

Fees vary by mode of study and student location:

• Scottish Students: Ł20,410 (Full Time, Online), Ł10,205 per year (Part Time, Online)
• Rest of UK Students: Ł20,410 (Full Time, Online), Ł10,205 per year (Part Time, Online)
• International Students: Ł20,410 (Full Time, Online), Ł10,205 per year (Part Time, Online) Scholarships, including an MBA discount and alumni discount, are available.
