Overview
The BA (Hons) Applied Investigation is a unique and contemporary course that adapts itself and students to the evolving nature of investigative practice. It aims to build knowledge and expertise in the area of investigations through work-based learning, allowing you to attain a full BA (Hons) degree in just six contact days over 18 months.

Course Structure

Facilities
If you're studying at our Sunderland Campus, you'll be based at the recently refurbished Wearside View, situated on the award-winning Sir Tom Cowie Campus at St Peter's. This stunning riverside location benefits from dedicated library services and has superb transport links with the city centre and City Campus.
We also offer this course at our London Campus, and if you're studying as part of our London cohort, you'll be based at Canary Wharf.

Final Stage Entry Point (18 months)
Applicants must have extensive experience of investigations in a professional capacity. Those with a PIP level 2 qualification (or equivalent experience), or those with five years' experience in an organisation and who are currently operating in an investigative capacity are encouraged to apply for this stage.
In addition, you should be able to demonstrate competence and knowledge in the investigation of serious and complex crime.

Course fees are £4,450.
Please note that part-time courses aren't available to international students who require a student visa to study in the UK.

English Language Requirements:

- For the BA (Hons) Applied Investigation course, the minimum English language requirements are:
- IELTS: 6.5 overall, with no less than 6.0 in any component
- TOEFL: 92 overall, with no less than 20 in each component
- PTE Academic: 65 overall, with no less than 60 in any component
