Course Overview

Our Psychology degree follows the syllabus of the British Psychological Society for accreditation, but with a couple of distinctive twists. While delivering a broad curriculum in psychology, we have particular emphasis on critical thinking about psychology, and on the application of psychology in professional settings.

Placements

• In your second year, you’ll gain professional experience by doing a mini placement, either with an outside organisation, or with one of our staff members doing research, or in pursuing your own entrepreneurship.
• In your third year, you’ll have the option to do a longer placement to get further professional experience.

Trips

• In your first year, you’ll have the opportunity to go on a field trip to a community farm and mental health museum.
• In the second and third years, optional modules may include field trips as part of the syllabus.
