Program Overview
Introduction:
Blender 3D is a powerful free open-source 3D creation software, which allows for 3D asset creation, animation, and rendering.
It can be used in any field that requires a digital 3D asset and is easily transferable to many other software’s such as Unreal Engine, Unity, AR/VR, rendering etc.
On this course you will learn the basics of Blender 3D Creation Suite which introduces modern digital asset creation techniques and an understanding of both the theoretical and digital manufacturing workflows used across creative industries such as VFX, architecture, product design and fashion.
You will learn and explore various methods for 3D digital asset creation, mesh manipulation, fixing techniques and basic outputs from Blender, such as models for 3D Printing & 2D Rendering.
This course is suitable for designers who are beginners to digital asset creation or those who have little knowledge of Blender and would like to learn professional outputs for their designs.
By the end of the course, you will have 3D Digital language skills and be able to create and edit geometry in Blender.
You'll be able to apply materials, textures, and texture paint to your models and understand how to UV unwrap and position textures for a realistic effect, set up an environment, lighting, and camera.
You'll leave having completed a project of your choice with final renders that can be used in a portfolio, and have an understanding of industry pipelines.

Sarah Kay Beardsley
started their early education and career in London as a free-lance Model-Maker creating detailed prototypes for Product Design, Advertising and Architecture.They developed digital abilities to maintain a future effective skill base, working at Nottingham University and Ravensbourne University London teaching Additive Manufacturing, CAD/CAM and Rhino3D.
Sarah taught Digital Fashion with undergraduate Fashion students during lockdown and was one of the first Universities to present a Digital only fashion collection, appear in Forbes, Vogue and WWD and create a specific Digital Fashion pathway.
Sarah has been co-developer and trainer with the Hobs3D Academy for the last four years, which promotes and teaches an analogue to digital workflow through various realities, teaching 3D digital language, asset, and environment creation (Blender3D, Rhino3D & Photogrammetry) and helps students to navigate our ever-changing digital world.
