Program Overview

The PGCE (Secondary) in Design & Technology at Goldsmiths' Department of Design aims to develop visionary and imaginative teachers who can effectively teach Design & Technology at Key Stages 3 and 4. The program combines practical and theoretical components, with a focus on developing designing competence and fostering reflective practice. Students can specialize in Materials, Textiles, Electronics and Communications Technology, or Food for Key Stage 3, and Materials and Textiles for Key Stage 4.
