Industrial Engineering Programmes

Bachelor of Engineering in Industrial and Systems Engineering (BEISE)
  • Industrial Engineering Principles and Systems (10 ECTS)
    • This module delivers the key foundational elements of industrial engineering.
    • It covers topics that challenge learners to think about how the factors of production can be brought together to create maximum value in an enterprise setting.
  • Data Analysis (5 ECTS)
    • This module provides learners with the ability to evaluate and conduct appropriate statistical analysis on data relating to engineering processes.
  • Lean Systems (5 ECTS)
    • This module addresses core aspects of what an industrial engineer must deliver and combines many of the traditional elements of industrial engineering such as method study under the lean umbrella.
  • Project Management (5 ECTS)
    • In this module learners are taught how to apply project management principles across a range of industrial engineering settings.
  • Professional Practice (5 ECTS)
    • This module equips learners with the knowledge and skills necessary to adopt behaviour patterns consistent with the ethos of the industrial engineering profession.
  • Industrial Engineering Finances (5 ECTS)
    • This module develops the learners’ application of various cost accounting principles and techniques.

  • Logistics and Supply Chain Management (5 ECTS)
    • This module develops the learners' understanding of supply chain management processes and the various tools and techniques adopted for the effective management of supply chains.
  • Environment and Sustainability (5 ECTS)
    • This module informs learners of the seismic changes to the energy markets in Ireland and how policies are shaped to meet EU mandated environmental targets.
