The BTEC accredited Higher National Certificate in Manufacturing Engineering delivers knowledge and skills in a range of specialist areas of manufacturing engineering and is suited to those who would like a career in the manufacturing/biopharma and the medical devices industries or those who want to upskill in this area.


Why Study Engineering at Griffith College?

The BTEC Higher National Certificate in Manufacturing Engineering is available on a part-time basis over one year. It provides education and training of manufacturing principals and management to engineers, operators and technicians in the areas of manufacturing systems and processes​. The certificate equips learners with a set of transferable work skills suitable for many technical roles in areas such as manufacturing systems design, maintenance and technical services and electronic, mechanical and automotive engineering. The course provides learners with a nationally recognised and vocationally specific qualification and an option to progress on to higher education qualifications such as a full- or part-time degrees. The course focuses on the development of higher-level technological and management skills to ensure learners can perform their roles efficiently in the work environment. Upon completion of the course, learners have the skills, techniques and personal qualities to make an immediate contribution to employment at the appropriate professional level.
