Overview

This module will enable you as a physiotherapist to reflect on current practice and develop advanced theoretical and practical skills in the management of individuals with lower limb dysfunction.

On successful completion of this module you will be able to:

  • Integrate theory & evidence based practice to the management of lower limb dysfunction.
  • Apply advanced skills related to the subjective & physical objective examination of the patient with peripheral joint dysfunction affecting the lower limb.
  • Utilise advanced clinical reasoning & differentiation skills to determine the appropriate physiotherapy diagnosis & management within the bounds of professional autonomy.
  • Critically evaluate & determine the appropriate physiotherapy management relating to the clinical reasoning process and problem solving.
  • Reflect, evaluate & critically appraise current physiotherapy practice.
  • Recognise the influence of patients cultural, religious and socio economic backgrounds on their health and wellbeing.
