Overview

This interdisciplinary course is suitable for clinicians from a range of settings who care for people who have received a diagnosis of skin cancer.

The module aims to:

  • Deepen clinical knowledge and patient assessment skills by strengthening understanding of pathophysiology and anatomical examination of different types of skin cancer
  • Develop critical understandings of risk factors, oncogenetics and the staging and grading of skin cancer
  • Enhance clinical competence within scope of practice in the identification and management of clients with skin cancer
  • Strengthen clinical communication skills with patients and families
  • Identify opportunities to improve quality of care and service delivery
  • Address the unique needs of clients with skin cancer

    • The module is delivered through blended learning, with both online and campus-based teaching.
