Program Overview

The PGCE Secondary English program at the University of Chichester equips students with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes to become qualified English teachers in secondary schools. Through a blend of professional placements and theoretical teaching, students delve into the principles of teaching and learning, develop an understanding of English teaching in the secondary context, and gain practical experience in the classroom. Upon successful completion, graduates are recommended for Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), enabling them to teach English in secondary schools in England and Wales.
