Program Overview
2. How you learn
Watch course leader Neha Sehgal talk about the MSc Healthcare Analytics and Artificial Intelligence course at Sheffield Hallam University.
All our courses are designed around a set of key principles based on engaging you with the world, collaborating with others, challenging you to think in new ways, and providing you with a supportive environment in which you can thrive.
This course combines online and face-to-face learning, and much of the content is delivered by AI practitioners from the NHS and healthcare AI/analytic suppliers.
You learn through
This course is delivered face-to-face over three semesters - teaching is scheduled based on the length of your course and the academic calendar.
Applied learning
Live projects
Over the course, we tailor assignments and projects to the needs of actual healthcare organisations or your own areas of interest, to maximise the value of your studies. In one of your modules, you will have an opportunity to learn about the practical application of analytics and artificial intelligence within a project framework. You will also look at where artificial intelligence is being/will be used to support health and social care practitioners, allowing them to provide the best quality of life for their patients.
Networking opportunities
The programme is also supported by several NHS Trusts and providers of healthcare technologies who will provide input into your learning and contribute to your development. You’ll be taught by professionals who are active in their field, giving you an industry-focused knowledge of your subject.
