Course Essentials
Our Computer Science BSc course will provide you with an in-depth understanding of the field of computer-based information systems offering you opportunities to develop analytical and practical transferable skills, as well as an understanding of the changing role of Computer Science in society and relevant social, legal, professional, and ethical responsibilities. All these are key knowledge and skills that will allow you to learn and adapt continuously and are important in both well-established and cutting-edge roles of Computer Science professionals. In the first two years, you will study areas such as programming, computer systems, databases, software engineering, and logic. In the third year, you will undertake a project that will offer you an opportunity to integrate the knowledge gained across different modules and to apply this in the context of a more complex development project (e.g., a project solving real challenges faced by the industry). Outside of teaching, our student societies organize social and other activities such as hackathons and river cruises so there is lots to get involved with.
