Course Description

The Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Economics will give you a thorough understanding of economic events and processes in a global context. You will learn to think critically and independently about how to solve economic problems and develop a range of skills that will support your intellectual, vocational and personal development. After a first year that will give you a foundation in economics, you will be increasingly free to choose from a range of optional modules in your second and third years, allowing you to pursue your own academic interests.

Structure

  • Courses are divided into modules.
  • Each year you will normally take modules totalling 120 credits.
  • This is a three-year degree course in which you will take a combination of required and optional modules to total 360 credits.
